STOBART AWARDS £22M CONTRACT TO POCHIN CONSTRUCTION
The Stobart Group has awarded Pochin Construction a £22million contract in Widnes, Merseyside. This project brings the total amount of contracts Pochin has won over the past four months to £61.9million.
Located on Mathieson Road, the project will see Pochin's construct a 32,515 sq m (350,000 sq ft) chilled distribution store and a 12,449 sq m (134,000 sq ft) recycling services centre. The site is currently being remediated by Stobarts, while Pochin Construction installs over four thousand pre cast concrete piles at the site. Once complete in January, construction of the steel work erections will then begin. The project is scheduled for completion at the end of July next year.
On the contract win, Jonathan Pochin, managing director of Pochin Construction commented: "This will be the first contract we have undertaken for The Stobart Group.
