SPAR BAGS BENLLECH PRECINCT
Pochin Developments has secured a letting at Benllech Precinct in Anglesey to Tates Ltd, the largest independent convenience store operator in the UK.
Trading as Spar, Tates has occupied Unit 1 at Benllech Precinct since 2006 and has now taken the adjoining premises, Units 2 and 3, on a 15-year lease. Tates will be undertaking a fit-out to integrate the units, which is due for completion around Christmas 2008.
On the letting, Andrew Smethurst, Estates Manager at Pochin, owner of Benllech Precinct comments: "The precinct is fully occupied and currently offers a laundrette, a café, a hairdresser, a gift shop and charity shop. Over the past twelve months, existing occupiers have renewed their leases attracting three new business ventures. The new Spar will act as the anchor for this successful precinct and help support local businesses in creating a retail hub for the community."
