POCHIN SCOOPS NATIONAL CONSIDERATE CONSTRUCTORS AWARD
27 April 2009
Pochin Construction has won a national considerate constructors award for its latest project at Hawarden Business Park in Flintshire, North Wales on behalf of Pochin Developments and UK Land & Property.
The contract involved the construction of units three and four at the Park, measuring a total of 3,716 sq m (40,000 sq ft).
Considerate Constructors Scheme Annual National Awards are given to around the highest scoring 7½% of sites, which have completed in the previous year. The Awards recognise sites' excellent standards of consideration towards their workforce, their neighbours and the environment.
On the award win, Jonathan Pochin, managing director at Pochin commented: "The criteria for considerate constructors is very much aligned with our core values, one of which is being a good neighbour. As such, we have adopted a company policy of always registering all of our projects with the scheme.
"This extends to our latest project in Llandudno Junction
in North Wales, which is the construction of the Welsh Assembly
Government's third regional office. We have earmarked this
scheme as a demonstration project and are pushing the boundaries in
terms of our deliverability and standard of work."
