POCHIN’S TOASTS NEW LOOK ROBINSON’S PUBS
Pochin (Contractors) Ltd, part of the Cheshire based
Pochin's plc, has won four pub
refurbishment contracts with Robinson's, continuing the
company's long-standing relationship with the brewer and
pub-chain.
Pochin's will be responsible for an £850,000 facelift at The Queen's Arms in Cheadle, Greater Manchester, which will see the contractor adding a new extension to the pub, in addition to completing a full refurbishment. The project will include hard and soft landscaping to the exterior of the pub and Pochin's will work closely with the pub-chain to allow a ten-week business-as-usual period during the refurbishment. Completion is scheduled for November, in plenty of time for the Christmas peak season.
The contractor is also due to start on site in June on a rolling programme of three Robinson's pub refurbishments in Cumbria, with a contract value in excess of £1million. Pochin's will start with refurbishment of The Ship in Rouse, near Barrow-in-Furness, before moving on to Robinson's outlets in Whitehaven and Bowness-on-Windamere.
Contracts Manager, Peter Gleave commented: "These contracts are the latest in a thirty-year relationship between Pochin's and Robinson's, which has been built on our ability to anticipate the client's commercial objectives and deliver high quality results on time and to budget. All the pubs we will be refurbishing over the next few months have their own individual character and we are looking forward to giving them a stylish new look in keeping with the traditional Robinson's pub atmosphere."
