POCHIN’S READY TO FLY AT EMPEROR COURT
Pochin Developments Ltd has secured planning permission for a
prestigious mixed-use
development in Crewe, Cheshire - bringing the town its first four
star hotel.
The five-acre site, located on Electra Way, will now be home to a 112-bedroom Ramada hotel as well as 7,910 sq m (85,145 sq ft) of high quality office accommodation. The scheme has been given its name in tribute to the rare Emperor Dragonfly, which houses itself in close proximity to the site.
Speaking of the scheme, Pochin Developments' Director Jim
Nicholson said: "We are
delighted to have secured planning consent at this site and look
forward to commencing
works in the near future. Our main aim at Emperor Court is to
deliver a truly integrated
business community, with high specification offices available from
2,500 to 5,000 sq ft and a high quality hotel to serve the needs of
local businesses and the community."
The scheme is the latest in a flurry of activity in the area for
Pochin's, who has recently
completed a JW Lees Pub, Travelodge and Bannatyne Fitness Centre at
its Gateway site, a stone's throw from Emperor Court.
Concluded Stephen Downey of Matthews and Goodman, joint agents
for the scheme:
"Thanks to its strategic location, in close proximity to
junctions 16 and 17 of the M6, means it has just a one-hour drive
catchment area of 10.8 million people, as well as the services of
nearby Crewe Railway Station providing links to London Euston,
Manchester Airport, Manchester City Centre and
Birmingham."
