POCHIN LAND MULTI-MILLION POUND CREWE WAREHOUSE CONTRACT
Pochin Contractors Ltd, part of the Cheshire based Pochin Group has been awarded a multimillion pound contract with global distribution facilities company ProLogis. The development of a 34,200m2 (368,100sq ft) speculative warehouse distribution facility at Weston Road, Crewe is the second contract awarded to Pochin Group by ProLogis who currently own, manage and develop over 1,970 facilities worldwide.
The project will consist of the phased development of a warehouse including 1,300m2 (13,900 sq ft) of office space that will be completed around Christmas 2005. Pochin will undertake the development by sequenced progression as areas becoming available following ground remediation, demonstrating its strategic and logistical expertise in managing the project over various critical construction stages.
The Weston Road location, formerly an old steel works, was
chosen specifically for its
proximity to national transport links and potential demand for
warehousing amongst ProLogis' key business targets. The
building, a speculative development will be available to let.
