POCHIN EXPANDS HIGH EDUCATION PORTFOLIO
Following its projects with Keele University and MMU Crewe, Pochin Contractors Ltd, part of the Cheshire based Pochin Group, has commenced work on new accommodation facilities for Harper Adams University College, Newport.
Shropshire's only university college, which specialises in agricultural and managerial studies, has commissioned work on four new accommodation blocks, totalling 150 bedrooms for future students. The circa £3million project will be completed by summer 2006. Following their bumper year for undergraduate enrolments the new accommodation blocks are needed to cope with the high demand for Harper Adams courses.
Paul Moran, Estates and Facilities Manager at Harper Adams University College said, "We are looking forward to developing this next stage at our campus. The university college offers students high quality training, facilities and accommodation and we feel that this new development will reflect this and assist with our growth."
Added Jonathan Woodcock, project manager at Pochins, "This is the latest higher education project that Pochins has been involved in and we are delighted to be expanding our portfolio in this area."
