Pochin (Contractors) Ltd, part of the Cheshire based Pochin's plc, have started work onsite, on the £800,000 refurbishment of the Albert Inn, part of the Robinson's brewery and pub chain, in Bowness - on - Windermere.
During the refurbishment, the inn will remain open to the public, thanks to Pochin completing phased sections of work on the property, with work being carried out in stages to help limit disruption to customers. Completion is scheduled for May next year, in time for the busy summer season.
The facelift is part of a contract in excess of £1 million
pounds, between Pochin's and
Robinson's on the refurbishment of three pubs in Cumbria,
including a £400,000 facelift of the Ship Inn in Rouse and an
outlet in Whitehaven.
Contracts Manager, Peter Gleave commented: "The
refurbishment of the Albert Inn and
continued opening to the public of the premises is a testament to
the thirty-year relationship between Pochin and Robinson's,
where we base our contracts around the individual requirements of
the property and commercial objectives of our clients. Over the
next year we look forward to giving all the Robinson's pubs we
are working on a stylish new look, while retaining their unique
individual character in keeping with the Robinson's pub
atmosphere."
