Chairman's statement
"Pochin's plc has continued to make excellent progress over the past 12 months, producing yet another record set of results," comments Chairman John Woodcock. "We have started the new financial year with a good order book, a slimmed down construction services division and a number of profitable property transactions identified. The Group has a strong management team and is well positioned to meet the challenges likely to be encountered during the coming year.

"After 40 years with the Group I will be stepping down as chairman and resigning from the Board at the end of 2006. I would like to thank my fellow board members and all our
employees for their hard work and commitment - without their efforts we would not be able to achieve continued good results - and wish Richard Fildes and Pochin's every success for the future."
