CREAM OF THE CROP - POCHINS ACQUIRES KEY ELLESMERE SITE
PB Developments Ltd, part of the Cheshire based Pochin Group, has successfully acquired the former Ellesmere Creamery site in Shropshire from a private investor.
The 30-acre site, which was originally built in the 1930's to serve many of the Midlands dairy farms, is now planned for future mixed-use development incorporating both commercial and residential accommodation, something that has been welcomed by the local community.
Brian Reay of PB Developments Ltd commented: "This site has been an eyesore for many years and are looking forward to seeing it cleared and redeveloped with a high quality residential-led mixed-use scheme. Many of the current buildings on site are unsafe and we aim to have these cleared by the autumn.
"Our plans for the site are focussed on complimenting existing amenities in the nearby town centre and we are currently in talks with planners at North Shropshire District Council about the form of development that will take place."
