History

The origins of the Pochin Group date back to 1935 when Cedric Pochin established a joinery company in Manchester. He was later joined by his brother Arthur and together the two men built the reputation for quality, craftsmanship and service, which is, to this day, the hallmark of our operations.

Over the years, the company has grown considerably, diversifying into the construction industry as main building contractors, soon followed by property development. Such diversification proved lucrative for the organisation and, as such, enabled the company to enter into the concrete pumping industry.

This diversity of skills, resource and expertise within the Pochin Group has led to a steady climb in turnover from a modest £5,000 in 1935 to circa £120m today. Accumulating all of the skills required within the divisional companies such as developer, contractor and the provision of construction services to the industry, has enabled the company to provide clients with total solutions.

This growth has been in no small part due to the commitment of Pochin's team over the years and the loyalty of its clients, consultants and suppliers, all of whom have made this success possible.

Our policy continues to be one of identifying and acting upon new opportunities, working methods and techniques to enhance our efficiency and maintain our position as market leader.
